  It is so great to live locally and to have such a wonderful place like Spoon River to take family, friends and business associates. We celebrate all our family milestones at Spoon River including my youngest son's rehearsal dinner and three years later the same son and daughter-in-law's baby shower. We all unabashedly pull our cell phones out to photograph our beautiful meals (and drinks) before digging in because this is food worth celebrating and sharing. I truly appreciate their loyalty to local ingredients especially fresh local seafood. And if you want to end your meal with the perfect dessert experience it has to be the caramel bar (which is best shared with a friend). Theresa and Mark have truly kicked off a renaissance in Belhaven and with the restoration and reopening of River Forest Manor this wonderful waterfront town is poised for great things.

  Great quality. Lots of character and charm. Connected to a little market. Large serving sizes. You're not going to find a better restaurant within an hour of here.

  Teresa and staff always exceed expectation! I travel around NC often and this is a true gem. I have consistently been stopping in this restaurant for over 2 years and never falls short. Two thumbs up!
